Chair of the firm’s Bankruptcy and Restructuring group, Jason Adams offers a blend of litigation experience, business know-how, and broad bankruptcy experience, and protects clients’ interests in large, complex commercial bankruptcies. His clients appreciate Jason’s ability to handle highly charged disputes and leverage more than two decades of dealing with distressed situations to implement practical strategies designed to maximize immediate recoveries and create opportunities for long-term success.
Jason focuses his practice primarily on creditors’ rights through the representation of unsecured creditors’ committees, individual creditors and post-confirmation trusts. He represents clients across a wide range of industries, including apparel, furniture, restaurants, automotive, technology, beauty and cosmetics, industrial, sporting goods, digital advertising, and financial services.
In every matter he handles, Jason gives his clients the confidence that he will deliver a high-quality work product, be responsive to their concerns, and chart a clear, successful course.
Tenacious in pursuing his clients’ goals, yet ever-cognizant of their need for practical, streamlined, and cost-effective solutions, Jason’s background in both commercial litigation and corporate transactions enhances his multidimensional ability to problem-solve throughout the bankruptcy and restructuring process.
In addition to his committee and post-confirmation practice, Jason advises individual creditors concerning the enforcement, termination, or restructuring of client service and supply agreements, leases, and other contractual relationships with distressed entities.
He has extensive skill and first-hand experience negotiating and drafting credit and acquisition agreements and has negotiated and documented numerous lending arrangements and asset sales, both in and out of the bankruptcy context.
