Kelley Drye Earns Top Recognition in India Business Law Journal 2026 Report
India Business Law Journal (IBLJ) has named Kelley Drye among the top foreign law firms for India-related work in the publication’s 20th annual report on law firms operating in the region.
The report highlights Kelley Drye as a “Significant Player” that has opened close to 100 new matters with an India angle over the past year. The report noted how the firm has handled commercial disputes and corporate deals as well as employment counseling. IBLJ also highlighted the firm’s international trade and export controls work and its role advising clients on regulations relating to defense procurement, such as the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) and the Defense Federal Acquisition Regulation Supplement (DFARS).
In April, Kelley Drye Partner Deepak Nambiar, chair of both the firm’s India Practice Group and its Technology Transactions & Sourcing Group, was also named to IBLJ’s 2026 A-List, comprised of the top India-focused lawyers at international law firms. Deepak was praised as “a seasoned lawyer who can handle the most complex matters at ease, being solution-oriented and balanced on risk mitigation.”
The findings of IBLJ’s annual report on foreign law firms operating in the region are based on extensive consultations with India-focused corporate counsel worldwide and partners at Indian law firms.
