Karyn Fulton co-chairs the firm’s Real Estate practice group. Karyn is involved in all aspects of transactional commercial real estate law.  Her practice includes real property acquisition, disposition, financing, development, joint ventures, construction and leasing. Her clients include domestic and foreign owners, developers, investors, REITs and insurance companies involved in commercial real estate transactions pertaining to a wide range of real estate holdings throughout the United States and using a variety of ownership vehicles. Karyn is valued for structuring transactions that both balance risk and offer the greatest potential to maximize return on investment.

Karyn has navigated her clients through and beyond the acquisition, disposition, financing, development, construction and leasing of various projects, a sampling of which has involved multifamily, retail, residential, office, hotel, industrial and mixed-use developments. Karyn’s multidimensional understanding of diverse types of real estate and attendant issues allows her to combine a deep knowledge of the law with a business-like approach to closing real estate transactions.

Representing major life insurance companies, banks and financial services companies in commercial real estate loan transactions, including construction and permanent mortgage and mezzanine financing and preferred equity investments.

Representing major life insurance companies, banks and other lending institutions in connection with foreclosures, bankruptcy proceedings, workouts and restructuring of various commercial real estate mortgage loans.

Representing real estate private equity fund sponsors and institutional investors investing in real estate funds, as well as representing fund sponsors in the formation of real estate investment funds and representing fund borrowers under credit line loans.
