Austin Del Priore focuses his practice on data privacy and security, privacy litigation, and consumer protection—working with clients from Fortune 50 companies to early-stage startups, across the tech sector and beyond. He regularly partners with product, engineering, and design teams to translate complex regulatory requirements into practical decisions—work that spans every stage, from building privacy-compliant features to navigating enforcement actions and incidents where the regulatory, litigation, and reputational stakes are significant.

Austin represents companies in high-profile privacy investigations brought by the Federal Trade Commission (FTC) and state attorneys general, covering matters involving artificial intelligence, sensitive health data, cybersecurity and data breach incidents, and children’s privacy issues. He also has significant experience defending companies in privacy-related litigation and counseling clients on a broad range of privacy laws, including the Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA), the Illinois Biometric Information Privacy Act (BIPA) and other biometric privacy laws, as well as state comprehensive privacy laws and data breach statutes.

In addition to his privacy work, Austin has previously represented clients in government and internal investigations—including before the DOJ, SEC, CFTC, and FERC—and in litigation matters in state and federal courts across the country.

Before law school, Austin was a Governor Bob Orr Entrepreneurial Fellow at Angie’s List, where he spent two years embedded with the in-house legal team supporting product and business initiatives—an experience that shaped his approach to legal counseling as a business partner who understands the balance between product development and regulatory risk.
