Chris Drewes is a partner in the firm's New York office. His practice focuses on all aspects of commercial real estate.
Mr. Drewes' experience encompasses financing, acquisitions, commercial real estate development, leasing and other matters, and includes substantial representation in the areas of bankruptcy, reorganization, workouts and creditors' rights, hospital and health care, not-for-profit organizations and foundations, and general commercial practice.
Mr. Drewes also represents U.S. and foreign clients in complex transactions involving information technology licensing and services, and business process outsourcing.

Representing a global provider of software solutions and information technology in complex licensing, development, consulting and business process outsourcing transactions.
Represented a major New York area hospital and health care system in connection with the development of a centralized outpatient service facility and medical office complex, and acquisition and financing of hospitals and health care facilities.
Represented a major New York City school for the performing arts in connection with the financing and development of new dormitory facilities and the expansion and modernization of its campus at the City's premier cultural center.
Representing several major life insurance companies, banks and financial services companies in commercial real estate loan transactions, including both construction and permanent financing.
Representing several major life insurance companies, banks and other lending institutions in connection with foreclosures, bankruptcy proceedings, workouts and restructuring of various commercial real estate mortgage loans.
Representing an institutional syndicator of real estate investment partnerships in connection with restructuring and workout issues.
Representing owners and managers of regional shopping centers in Chapter 11 proceedings involving retail chains.
Represented a major New York City university hospital and medical center in connection with a $950+ million construction and modernization project.
Represented a national private development company in connection with the planning, development, construction and financing of a $250 million waterfront retail, restaurant, commercial, museum, educational and entertainment complex.
Represented a specialty hospital in connection with a bond financing for the refinancing of existing debt and construction and modernization purposes, and in the subsequent restructuring of the bond financing.
Represented various general acute care community hospitals and medical facilities in connection with real estate-based financing transactions, and with reorganization, workout and debt restructuring.
Represented general acute care community hospitals in connection with advance refunding and increases in amounts financed by MCFFA and FHA bond issues.
