Don’t Miss Kelley Drye’s 8th Annual USF Update Webinar on February 23, 2017 at 12 PM ET
Kelley Drye is proud to present our 8th Annual Update on federal Universal Service Fund (USF) activities. This one-of-a-kind webinar provides an in-depth discussion of trends and legal implications involving the Universal Service Fund, from contributions, to the four support funds, as well as audits and enforcement. This educational event is intended to help attorneys and any communications provider understand and thrive in this space.
During the webinar we will address major developments in the Universal Service Fund over the past year and potential changes under the Trump Administration. We will cover the Lifeline Modernization Order, implications of the Rural Healthcare, High-Cost and E-rate enforcement actions taken near the end of Chairman Wheeler’s tenure, and the impact of the Cisco WebEx contribution appeal on “integrated” services. We also will answer questions you have about future changes in the Fund, including the potential for contributions reform and the status of broadband provider contributions after the Open Internet Decision and change in Administrations. In addition, we will discuss USAC’s audit program and, as always, provide our annual summary of what you need to know about changes in the FCC’s Form 499-A Instructions.
Finally, we will discuss the process for oversight and enforcement of USF benefits and contributions, with particular emphasis on the jurisdiction and role of USAC, the Enforcement Bureau, the FCC Office of Inspector General and the Wireline Competition Bureau, providing practical insights into what to expect in investigations and how to navigate the legal issues successfully.
