Associate Steven W Schlesinger co-authored The Right to Data Encryption.”  The article introduces a proposal that addresses issues arising from the prevalence of our society’s data dependence and an egregious lack of adequate data protection laws. It recounts briefly the history of encryption, discusses various encryption methods, and analyzes potential methods of ensuring that data users have the means to protect their important data.
