The article focused on two “controversial Bush-era rules” regarding endangered species and greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions. Congress has granted the Obama administration authority to withdraw these rules that “address the circumstances under which federal agencies must consult with the U.S. Departments of Interior and Commerce under the Endangered Species Act (ESA).” It discussed the various effects of the rules should the current administration decide to withdraw or maintain these policies.
