Joseph J. Donaldson

Joe Donaldson’s practice focuses on commercial and complex civil litigation. Joe helps clients to interpret and enforce agreements, resolve business disputes, respond to subpoenas, and defend against individual and class action lawsuits in state and federal courts across the country.

Joe helps clients in the manufacturing, finance and asset management, retail, real estate, and technology sectors, among others. Joe takes a keen interest in clients’ businesses and industries, and greatly enjoys the opportunity to engage with the facts of each dispute and consider the context and practical implications of each decision. He has briefed successful motions at all stages of litigation and appeal, including motions to dismiss and for summary judgment and motions to quash subpoenas, and has experience managing complex and often voluminous discovery.

In addition to his commercial practice, Joe is proud to maintain an active pro bono practice that includes pursuing civil rights claims in federal courts and assisting recent immigrants with green card applications and other proceedings.
