Jacob Jones is an international trade analyst with Georgetown Economic Services (GES). Jacob supports clients in a wide range of economic and regulatory matters, including merchandise classification and valuation issues, import and export compliance audits, and unfair trade litigation. He is particularly experienced in antidumping and countervailing duty investigations before the U.S. International Trade Commission, as well as Section 232 proceedings before the U.S. Department of Commerce. Here, he leverages a strong background in data analytics and computer science to evaluate trade flows, market conditions, pricing trends, and financial performance.

Jacob provides advice and analysis to trade associations and companies involved in various manufacturing industries, including agricultural goods, base metals, consumer products, and plastics. His prior casework includes actions against imports of aluminum foil, aluminum sheet, steel shelving, steel tubing, raw honey, and polyester staple fiber. He also assists in preparing circumvention allegations and prior disclosures before U.S. Customs and Border Protection, and voluntary self-disclosures before the Office of Foreign Asset Control.

Before joining GES, Jacob worked in the financial services industry for two Global 500 corporations.
