Andrew Matott focuses his practice on representing creditors’ committees, corporate trustees and agents, lenders, bondholders, investors, and other secured and unsecured creditors in distressed situations. Andrew has experience at all stages of mid- to large-cap Chapter 11 cases, and his practice encompasses both in-court restructurings and bankruptcy alternatives, including liability management exercises, receivership proceedings, and Article 9 foreclosures.

Andrew also has experience handling complex investigations and all stages of litigation, including large‑scale, time‑sensitive Rule 2004 examinations to identify and unlock value for creditors. His focus is on transforming evidence developed in distressed matters into litigation leverage that advances claims and drives recoveries.

Prior to joining Kelley Drye, Andrew was an associate in the corporate restructuring and litigation groups at a New York-based law firm. Before entering private practice, Andrew completed a two-year judicial clerkship for the Honorable Gary L. Sharpe, U.S. District Court, Northern District of New York.
