Alireza Abedin

Alireza Abedin concentrates his practice in real estate transactional work across all commercial real estate asset classes. He brings a banking and finance focus to real estate matters, having specialized in lender-side work. He represents private equity funds, life insurance companies, regional, national and international banks and investors in a variety of commercial real estate financing transactions, including the origination of mortgage loans, loan workouts and the restructuring of existing loans. Alireza’s representative deals include single asset and large portfolio mortgage, mezzanine and syndicated financings for the acquisition, refinancing and construction of commercial real estate assets located across the country.

Alireza has been named a New York real estate ​“Rising Star” by Super Lawyers annually since 2016 and was recognized in 2021, 2022 and 2025 by The Best Lawyers in America as ​“One to Watch” in real estate. Alireza received the New York State Bar Association Empire State Counsel Pro Bono award and certificate for his extraordinary pro bono contributions in 2016.

Alireza received his J.D. from the Rutgers School of Law, where he was the symposium editor of the Rutgers Law Review, and his B.A. in Jurisprudence and Political Science, magna cum laude, from Montclair State University. He is admitted to practice in the States of New York, New Jersey and Connecticut.
