Partner Paul C. Rosenthal Quoted on Mexico Wire Rod Circumvention Complaint
In an American Metal Market Daily article titled “Mills Join Mexico Wire Rod Circumvention Complaint,” partner Paul C. Rosenthal was quoted. The article discussed the decision made by U.S. steel mills to join forces against Mexican wire rod producers they believe are attempting to evade antidumping duties. A variety of domestic wire rod producers have joined with the Wire Rod Producers Coalition to pursue trade action against imports from Mexico. Mr. Rosenthal acts as counsel to the Coalition.
Mr. Rosenthal noted the antidumping order is very important to the well-being of the domestic industry. “Any attempts to circumvent the orders causes a great deal of concern, and this circumvention was going on during the worst economic downturn in recent memory,” he said.
