Partner Michael J. Coursey Quoted in Garlic Exporters Article
In a Law360 article titled “Chinese Exporters Dealt New Blow In Fresh Garlic Spat,” partner Michael J. Coursey was quoted. The article discussed an administrative review where three exporters of fresh Chinese garlic challenged anti-dumping margins set by the U.S. Department of Commerce. In response to the Chinese exporters challenge, Commerce issued a redetermination on remand that significantly raised, rather than lowered, the duty margins at issue. The redetermination left the Chinese exporters disappointed but pleased a group of domestic intervenors, including the Fresh Garlic Producers Association. Mr. Coursey represents the domestic fresh garlic producers. He warns the Chinese exporters to “be careful what you wish for,” Mr. Coursey said.
