Partner Kathy Cannon Named President of the Customs and International Trade Bar Association
The Customs and International Trade Bar Association (CITBA) named International Trade partner Kathy Cannon president of its Board of Directors. Kathy, who also serves as managing partner of Kelley Drye’s Washington, D.C. office, was formerly the vice president of CITBA.
Kathy said, “I am thrilled to step in to this role at a time when International Trade policy news dominates the headlines. U.S. and foreign companies are looking to understand and benefit from Trade policy in this current climate. I look forward to promoting collaboration and dialog among CITBA’s members and government officials.”
CITBA members represent importers, exporters and domestic producers in matters involving U.S. customs laws, antidumping and countervailing duty laws, safeguards, export licensing, and other federal laws and regulations that affect imported or exported merchandise or international commerce. CITBA also includes U.S. Government lawyers at federal departments and agencies responsible for administering the customs and international trade laws.
