Partner Andrew P. Pillsbury selected to Law Bulletin’s “40 Illinois Attorneys Under Forty to Watch”
Kelley Drye is pleased to announce that Andrew P. Pillsbury, a partner in its Chicago office, has been named one of the 2008 “40 Illinois Attorneys Under Forty to Watch” by Law Bulletin Publishing Company, publishers of Chicago Lawyer magazine and the Chicago Daily Law Bulletin. Hundreds of nominees for Law Bulletin’s ninth annual “40 Under Forty” listing were evaluated based on their career achievements, how far they had risen within their respective fields, and their contributions to the community.
Law Bulletin reports “Peers and clients feel that his insistence on learning all he can about his clients’ businesses has transformed Pillsbury from an attorney to a strategic counselor. ‘With Andrew, I feel that someone is working with us that understands our business and what we are trying to accomplish,’ says Edward Smolyansky, Chief Financial Officer of Lifeway Foods, Inc.”
Andrew is a member of the firm’s corporate practice group and focuses his practice in a wide variety of matters, including start-up structuring and formation, securities offerings, investment fund formation, mergers and acquisitions, and general compliance and governance issues. He also represents lenders and borrowers in credit transactions, including second lien and mezzanine loans. Andrew works with institutional lenders with respect to real estate finance transactions, including the origination of mezzanine loans and preferred equity investments.
