Partner Alysa Hutnik Quoted in Private Funds CFO Article on Capital One Breach

Partner Alysa Hutnik was quoted in the Private Funds CFO article ​“Capital One’s breach serves as warning for PE.” The article discusses the hack of more than 100 million Capital One customers’ accounts and credit card applications that took place on July 30^th.  The suspect is accused of stealing 140,000 social security numbers and one million social insurance numbers – the Canadian equivalent of social security numbers.

Speaking on breach preparedness, Alysa said ​“Your incident response policy has to prepare for the small breaches, medium breaches and the mega-breaches.  Having an aspirational but realistic timeline of what happens in the first 12, 24, and 36 hours.”
