New York Law Digest Quotes Partner James J. Kirk Regarding Kelley Drye & Warren Scholarship
The New York Law Digest, a publication of the New York State Bar Association, published an article on Columbia Law School student, John B. Quigley, who received the Kelley Drye & Warren LLP Scholarship administered by The New York Bar Foundation. The article said, “James J. Kirk, managing partner at Kelley Drye stated, ‘We are proud to recognize Mr. Quigley as the Kelley Drye & Warren LLP Scholar for academic year 2008-2009 at Columbia Law School. He has earned this award through his scholarly accomplishments, demonstrated commitment to the law, and outstanding performance in his extracurricular activities.’ ”
Mr. Quigley grew up in Queens, New York, graduated from Regis High School, and received his B.A. in political science, cum laude, from Amherst College.
The $10,000 scholarship is available to second-year law students at Columbia who have a grade point average of B or higher and intend to practice law in New York. Columbia Law School selects the recipient. This is the third consecutive year that a student at Columbia received the scholarship.
