Partner Kathleen Cannon was quoted in the Law360 article “ITC Finds Chinese Steel Imports Likely Harm US Industry.” The U.S. International Trade Commission on Thursday issued a preliminary determination in its investigation into allegations of unfair trade practices by Chinese producers of stainless steel sheet and strip, saying that domestic producers are likely being harmed by their imports and greenlighting a continued probe into the matter. All six commissioners of the ITC have voted to have the U.S. Department of Commerce continue its investigation into the allegations, which was prompted by a Feb. 12 petition filed by U.S. steel producers AK Steel Corp., Allegheny Ludlum LLC, North American Stainless and Outokumpu Stainless USA LLC. The petitioning companies are represented by Ms. Cannon, John M. Herrmann and Grace W. Kim.
