Law360 Profiles Partner Robert D. Bickford Jr. on Working on Two of 2016’s Largest Real Estate Deals
Partner Robert D. Bickford Jr. is the subject of the Law360 article “1 Lawyer Handles Year’s Top 2 Real Estate Deals So Far.” The article discusses Mr. Bickford’s guidance of two multibillion-dollar sales of Midtown Manhattan office towers – the largest real estate deals in 2016 so far. AXA Financial retained Mr. Bickford for its sale of the towers, 787 Seventh Avenue and 1285 Sixth Avenue, for $1.94 and $1.65 billion dollars, respectively. Both deals closed successfully, which Mr. Bickford accredits to “patience, persistence, [and] attention to detail.”
Mr. Bickford’s relationship with client AXA started more than three decades ago. “I can recall working on a transaction for what was then the Equitable Life Assurance Society, before AXA acquired it, as long ago as 1980,” he said. “I’ve always tried to build my practice around long-term relationships.”
