Law360 Lists International Trade Attorneys as Counsel to U.S. Producers of Stainless Steel Sheet and Strip
Partners Kathleen Cannon and John Herrmann and special counsel Grace Kim were mentioned as counsel to ArcelorMittal USA in the Law360 article “ITC Finds Chinese Steel Imports Damaging US Industry” regarding a March 3rd final determination by the U.S. International Trade Commission that the domestic steel industry is materially injured by imports of certain kinds of steel from China, which the U.S. Department of Commerce found to be subsidized and sold in the U.S. at less than fair value.
The products at issue are stainless steel sheet and strip, as well as carbon and alloy steel cut-to-length plate, both from China. The ITC’s findings are the result of two separate investigations prompted by domestic steel producers alleging that foreign companies are unfairly selling the respective products at less than fair value prices.
