Kelley Drye’s Full Spectrum Podcast Featured in Communications Daily Article on C-Band Reform
Partner Chip Yorkgitis was mentioned in the Communications Daily article “8th Floor Expected to Get Array of Proposed C-Band Stakeholder Asks”. The article discusses the FCC’s February meeting agenda, specifically suggested changes to the FCC’s C-band clearing and auction order, including arguments for limits on spectrum aggregation and trying to ensure earth station repacking isn’t done in a slapdash fashion, as well as changes and limitations on fixed satellite service and operation.
Chip’s quotes were pulled from a recent episode of Kelley Drye’s Full Spectrum Podcast, “Turning Into Spectrum, Episode 4: C-Band Reform,” where he said “the issue of whether limiting fixed satellite service operators to just the upper 200 MHz of the band would constitute a modification of FSS licenses or a fundamental change could still be an issue lobbied over and even subject of litigation. There could be lobbying over how incumbent earth station operators are reimbursed.”
