Kelley Drye Represents Creditors’ Committee in Scout Media Bankruptcy

On December 16, 2016, Kelley Drye & Warren LLP was selected as counsel to the Official Committee of Unsecured Creditors of Scout Media. On December 1, 2016, three creditors of Scout Media commenced involuntary bankruptcy cases against the company in the Southern District of New York. The company responded on December 8 by commencing voluntary chapter 11 proceedings. The case is pending before the Honorable Michael E. Wiles.

Founded in 2001 by James Heckman, Scout Media operates a digital network that publish and distribute content related to the National Football League, NCAA football and basketball, fantasy sports, high school athletic recruiting, hunting, fishing, outdoor activity, military and history. Scout Media’s network include 150 team-specific credentialed publishers that produce approximately 11,000 articles and 1,000 videos monthly. In bankruptcy protection, the company is pursuing an expedited sale process.
