Kelley Drye Names Four New Partners and One Special Counsel
Kelley Drye & Warren LLP is pleased to announce the election of four new partners and one special counsel, effective July 1, 2010.

Below is biographical information on the lawyers by offices in which they are based.
New York (partners):
Robert L. LeHane is a member of the Bankruptcy department. He focuses on corporate restructuring, landlord and creditors’ rights. Mr. LeHane represents developers, shopping center owners and management companies, secured and unsecured creditors, and creditors’ committees. In out of court workouts and bankruptcy cases like Circuit City, Movie Gallery and more than 100 other recent retail cases, Mr. LeHane represents large groups of landlords in connection with debtor-in-possession financing, lease auctions, lease terminations and amendments, preference and claims litigation, and issues related to plans of reorganization and liquidation. Mr. LeHane also helped lead the teams that represented the Ad-hoc Committee of Landlords in the out-of court liquidation of CompUSA and the Official Committee of Unsecured Creditors in the award winning reorganization of Z Gallerie. Mr. LeHane received his J.D. from the University at Buffalo School of Law School (1998), and his B.A. from the University at Albany (1990).
David I. Zalman is a member of the Litigation department. He has extensive experience in the areas of commercial and complex civil litigation, including contract disputes, unfair competition, theft of trade secrets, lender liability, corporate fraud, insurance, bankruptcy litigation, advertising and employment related matters. Among other representations, Mr. Zalman was part of a trial team that represented a major chemical company in a fraud, unfair competition and breach of contract case arising out of the sale of a company, and obtained a multi-million dollar verdict. He also successfully represented a major technology company in a lawsuit brought by a state Attorney General alleging fraudulent and deceptive trade practices. Mr. Zalman received his J.D. from Brooklyn Law School (2000), where he graduated with honors and served as an associate managing editor of the Brooklyn Journal of International Law, and his B.A. from the University of Colorado (1993).
New York (special counsel):
Carol W. Sherman is a member of the Corporate department. She focuses on corporate and securities law, include SEC reporting and compliance, equity and debt offerings, corporate governance and mergers and acquisitions. Ms. Sherman has represented issuers in initial and secondary public offerings, public and private issuers in private placements of equity and debentures, public companies in SEC, NYSE and NASDAQ compliance work, and investment funds, investing in public and private companies. Ms. Sherman received her J.D. from the University of Pennsylvania Law School (1988) and her B.A. from the University of Virginia (1985).
Washington, D.C. (partners):
Alysa Zeltzer Hutnik is a member of the Advertising and Marketing, and Privacy and Information Security practice groups. She has extensive experience representing clients before the Federal Trade Commission, state Attorneys General, the National Advertising Division of the Council of Better Business Bureaus, and private litigation involving false advertising and unfair and deceptive trade practice claims. Ms. Hutnik also specializes in compliance with federal and state laws on privacy and information security, including developing enterprise-wide privacy and information security programs, data breach response and mitigation, and information security audits. Ms. Hutnik is the current chair of the American Bar Association’s Privacy and Information Security Committee (within the Section of Antitrust) and editor-in-chief of the ABA’s Data Security Handbook. She received her J.D. from the University of Maryland School of Law (2001), where she was executive editor of the Law Review and was elected to the Order of the Coif. She received her B.A. from Haverford College (1998).
Gonzalo E. Mon is a member of the Advertising and Marketing practice group. He counsels clients on designing advertising campaigns and promotions in a manner that achieves their business goals while complying with federal and state consumer protection laws. Mr. Mon reviews ads in television, print, Internet and other media and represents clients in both challenging and defending advertisements. He has extensive experience advising on a variety of promotions including sweepstakes, contests, gift cards and loyalty programs and has assisted clients with clearing promotions in more than 25 countries worldwide. Mr. Mon writes extensively on advertising and promotion law issues and is frequently invited to speak at industry events. Mr. Mon received his J.D. from George Washington University (2000) and his B.A., magna cum laude, from the College of New Jersey (1996).
