Kelley Drye Exceeds Pro Bono Pledge for 2001
According to an article published in the New York Law Journal, Kelley Drye and Warren LLP was one of 35 law firms participating in the Volunteers of Legal Service (VOLS) Pro Bono Pledge for 2001 to meet or exceed the annual goal of providing at least an average of 30 hours of qualifying pro bono work per attorney.
Qualifying pro bono work under the VOLS definition constitutes the provision of free civil legal services to financially disadvantaged individuals, or to the organizations that assist them. In 2001, the VOLS definition was expanded to include pro bono assistance “to persons, or businesses, affected by the World Trade Center calamity.”
