Kelley Drye COVID-19 Response
A Message from the Managing Partner
As the novel coronavirus has reached pandemic levels, I write to update you with respect to the many steps we are taking to anticipate and alleviate business disruption caused by the spread of COVID-19.
Kelley Drye’s number one priority is the health, safety and wellness of all of our employees, their families, and our clients. We are also resolute on ensuring that the important work our lawyers and professionals do for clients can continue seamlessly.
Kelley Drye’s Disaster Recovery / Business Continuity Plan is reviewed annually and has been updated and activated to meet the coronavirus threat. The Business Continuity Team comprises members of firm leadership and key management personnel, and these mission-critical employees have designated responsibilities and secure remote access. We are confident in our robust IT capabilities—many lawyers work remotely on a regular basis—and the ability of our staff who may work in a remote environment, to support the practice during this difficult and unprecedented event.
We continue to monitor the rapidly evolving situation, implement guidance from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and federal, state, and local authorities, and communicate with our professionals so that they can best protect themselves and others from the coronavirus.
Our offices are being cleaned regularly, and we are taking other steps to minimize risk of exposure to our staff. With the goal of social distancing, we encourage our professionals to take advantage of video conferencing in place of live meetings and to limit non-essential travel.
We appreciate the stress that the spread of COVID-19 causes you and your loved ones, as well as the uncertainty and disruption to your business. As always, we are committed to your success and will do all we can to offer support at this tumultuous time.
