Partner James S. Carr and special counsel Jason R. Adams are recognized as counsel to GT Advanced Technologies Inc.‘s unsecured creditors in the Law360 articles “GTAT’s Deal With Apple To Shed Light On Mystery Ch. 11” and “Apple May Not Be Done With GTAT After It Clears Ch. 11.” The articles focus on the settlement reached between GT and Apple Inc. that will allow GT to exit its sapphire production business and finally explain the falling-out between the onetime partners that led to its unexpected bankruptcy. However, GT could continue doing business with Apple after a non-finalized settlement between the two companies. GT notes that they are working on a restructuring plan following its bankruptcy and the agreement regarding disclosure disputes is an important step. The unsecured creditors committee has until a Nov. 25 hearing to review the deal.
