Kelley Drye Announces New Partner and Special Counsel

Kelley Drye & Warren LLP has elected Deepak Nambiar to partner and has promoted Kristin S. Elliott to special counsel, effective July 1, 2013.

Deepak Nambiar is a partner in the New York office, and a member of the India practice group. He focuses his practice on a wide range of transactional matters, including general corporate, technology licensing, mergers & acquisitions, and outsourcing transactions.  Mr. Nambiar also advises clients on cross-border transactions involving the U.S. and India.  Mr. Nambiar has a wide range of experience working for a number of diverse industries including, technology, construction, pharmaceutical, manufacturing, entertainment, and healthcare. 

Mr. Nambiar has been recognized as one of the top Internet and e-Commerce lawyers in The International Who’s Who of Internet & e-Commerce Lawyers publication. 

Mr. Nambiar received his LL.B from the National Law School of India University in 1988.  He received his LL.M from the University of New Hampshire School of Law (formerly, Franklin Pierce Law Center) in 2001.

He is a member of the New York State and India Bars.

Kristin Elliott is special counsel in the New York office, in the Bankruptcy and Restructuring practice group. Her practice focuses on business reorganization, creditors’ rights and bankruptcy litigation. Ms. Elliott has experience representing Chapter 11 debtors, creditors’ committees, indenture trustees, liquidating trustees, secured creditors and other parties in interest in all aspects of bankruptcy and insolvency proceedings.

Ms. Elliott received her J.D., cum laude, from Rutgers School of Law in 2002, and her B.A., cum laude, from Rutgers University in 1993.

She is a member of the New York and New Jersey State Bars.
