Kathleen W. Cannon Becomes Managing Partner of Kelley Drye’s Washington, D.C. Office and Eric McClafferty Becomes Chair of Firm’s International Trade Practice
Kelley Drye & Warren LLP is pleased to announce that Kathleen W. Cannon, former chair of the firm’s International Trade practice and noted trade attorney, has been named the new Managing Partner of the Washington, D.C. office and that Eric McClafferty has been named her successor. Kathy succeeds former Managing Partner Lewis Rose.
With more than 30 years of experience in international trade law, Kathy represents a wide range of U.S. industries that are injured due to unfairly traded imports, primarily in antidumping and countervailing duty investigations. she regularly appears before multiple U.S. trade agencies, including the Department of Commerce, the U.S. International Trade Commission, and the U.S. Trade Representative.

Eric McClafferty focuses his practice on international trade and has substantial expertise in export controls and compliance, as well as rules relating to trade with sanctioned and embargoed countries and entities, and other national security and foreign policy controls. Eric represents and advises clients in the industrial, high-technology, and agricultural sectors regarding their product exports and associated technologies.
Eric and Kathy have worked together for nearly 20 years. “Kathy is one of the hardest working lawyers I know. She is also an innovative leader who continually inspires her colleagues to exceed client’s expectations” said Eric.
