Josh Morey Quoted in Law360 Article on ITC’s Confirmation that Asia Is Dumping Steel Shelves

Law 360 reported on U.S. International Trade Commission’s unanimous vote that boltless steel shelves from Malaysia, Taiwan, Thailand and Vietnam are hurting the domestic industry by being sold in the U.S. at unfairly low prices.
Edsal Manufacturing Co. Ltd., which specializes in steel shelving and cabinets, called on Commerce and the ITC in late April 2023 to probe whether boltless steel shelving units from India, Malaysia, Taiwan, Thailand and Vietnam were being sold in the U.S. at less than fair value. Kelley Drye’s Josh Morey, one of the lawyers for Edsal, told Law360 that the commission’s affirmative final injury determinations will give “much-needed relief to the domestic boltless steel shelving industry and its workers.”
“Imports from the four subject countries surged into the United States over the last three years, taking substantial market share and placing significant pricing pressure on domestic producers,” Morey said. “We are hopeful the price disciplining effects of anti-dumping duty orders (once published) will afford the domestic industry a degree of relief from these unfairly traded imports.”
