Partner Jennifer McCadney was quoted by Business of Fashion in their article ​“As Brands Get Tariff Refunds, What Do They Owe Their Customers?” The article discusses the incoming wave of IEEPA tariff refunds that businesses are now able to request, and how these refunds will affect consumer pricing in the retail industry. While the impacts of these refunds for consumers remain to be seen, the process for companies to request refunds is straightforward.

“Companies just need to compile their tariffed entries into one file, following CBP’s formatting guidelines, and upload it to the portal,” said Jennifer. ​“More sophisticated businesses should have all the data ready, but even if they don’t, Customs has records they can pull. Companies might get an error message if there’s a mistake in the file, but it’s usually easy to correct.”
