Columbia Law School Student Awarded Kelley Drye & Warren LLP Scholarship
John B. Quigley, a student at Columbia Law School, has been chosen as the recipient of the Kelley Drye & Warren LLP Scholarship administered by the New York Bar Foundation. The $10,000 award is available to second-year students attending Columbia Law School who have maintained at least a B grade point average and intend to practice law in the State of New York upon graduation. The recipient of the scholarship is selected by Columbia Law School. This is the third consecutive year that the Kelley Drye & Warren LLP Scholarship has been awarded to a student at Columbia Law School.
Mr. Quigley received his B.A. in political science, cum laude, from Amherst College. While in law school, he chaired the career symposium of the Columbia Society of International Law and was the training coordinator for the Unemployment Action Center, where he represented unemployed workers seeking benefits. During the summer 2008, Mr. Quigley is working as an intern in the organized crime division of the U.S. Attorney’s Office in the Eastern District of New York.
On his visit to Kelley Drye, in addition to meeting with Kelley Drye & Warren Managing Partner James J. Kirk, Mr. Quigley met with other Columbia Law School alumni and attended a reception.
