The Climate for Climate Change

Kelley Drye Seminar

November 12, 2009 from 8:30 am to 2:30 pm (EST)

The Climate Change train is speeding along parallel tracks. On the legislative track, the House already has passed a comprehensive Climate/Energy bill (the American Clean Energy and Security Act – aka Waxman-Markey”), and an evolving climate bill is now moving through Committees of jurisdiction in the Senate. On the regulatory track, EPA is moving aggressively to regulate Green House Gas (GHG) emissions from mobile and stationary sources under existing Clean Air Act authority.

Join Kelley Drye for The Climate for Climate Change” in a discussion about the legislation and regulations that are progressing full steam ahead. Will they be implemented? Or is a train wreck inevitable?

The climate change-focused event hosted by Kelley Drye & Warren LLP’s Government Relations and Environmental practice groups. It promises to be an important update to issues presented at last year’s seminar, where more than 100 attendees gathered for a briefing on the politics, policies and implications of climate change legislation. Previous events have featured representatives from the presidential campaigns, prominent Hill staffers, non-governmental organizations, and representatives from the EPA.
