PowerUP Energy Thought Leaders Quarterly Forum: The Evolving Energy System
Kelley Drye Seminar
March 4, 2014
On March 4, 2014, Kelley Drye & Warren and Navigant Consulting presented the second in a series of quarterly leadership programs structured to provide a high-level interactive, discussion, and analysis on some of the most pressing topics within the energy industry. This and future events will explore various aspects of The Evolving Energy System, including:
- A changing energy supply base (shale gas, renewables)
- Technology advancements in energy delivery (smart grid, microgrids)
- Emerging alternatives for energy end use (distributed generation, demand-side management, alternative fuel vehicles)
This session introduced the landscape of the evolving energy system and provided a variety of perspectives from industry leaders in three key segments: a regulated utility, an unregulated energy business, and a large energy end user.
This forum brought together some of the Region’s most prominent thought leaders including C-level executives, in-house counsel from Midwest-based energy companies, service providers, and investors in energy companies. Each session was highly participatory and concluded with a networking reception.
The Evolving Energy System session included panel speakers Val Jensen, SVP, Customer Operations, ComEd; Felipe Arrazola, VP of Finance, SoCore Energy; and Pete Scarpelli, VP, Global Leader of Energy Services, CBRE.
