Kelley Drye Sponsors NAPABA Annual Convention
November 10, 2010
On November 20, 2010, Kelley Drye sponsored the National Asian Pacific American Bar Association (NAPABA) annual convention in Los Angeles. A wide range of attorneys attended including in-house and outside counsel, federal regulators, and social activists from across the country and the world.
This year’s convention lived up to its title, “INSPIRE,” with panel discussions on how attorneys can volunteer with Asian American communities and recognized Asian American women who have been recently appointed as Article III federal judges. NAPABA also organized numerous break-out sessions throughout the day (some for CLE credit) on issues such as the impact of social networking websites on employment litigation, game theory in the context of arbitration and mediation, and how to take advantage of opportunities created by climate change and sustainability initiatives.
NAPABA is an organization which seeks to encourage the professional growth of its members and to advocate for the Asian Pacific American community. Kelley Drye has been a sponsor of this convention for several years.
