Kelley Drye Hosts Civil Rights Book Signing Reception with Congressman John Lewis
June 1, 2015
Kelley Drye’s Washington, D.C. office hosted an event with Civil Rights Leader and Congressman John Lewis and Andrew Aydin, the Congressman’s digital director and policy adviser. Representative Lewis and Mr. Aydin co-authored March: Book Two, which is the second volume in a civil rights graphic novel trilogy that recounts Representative Lewis’s personal and political coming-of-age in the segregated South and the 1965 historic march in Selma, Alabama. Kelley Drye attorneys, staff, and guests were honored to hear Representative Lewis speak and have their copies of March personally inscribed. Students from our D.C. partner school, Noyes Education Campus, also participated in the event along with teacher representatives. Due to the Firm match for books purchased at the event, 80 sets of books (both March: Book I and March: Book II) will be placed in D.C. Public Schools. Each book will have a sticker to indicate it was donated by Kelley Drye & Warren LLP.
