Is Trade Special? Trade Law and Judicial Deference After Loper Bright
22nd Judicial Conference of the United States Court of International Trade
Kelley Drye International Trade partner, Brooke Ringel, will join a panel discussion titled “Is Trade Special? Trade Law and Judicial Deference After Loper Bright” at the 2024 Judicial Conference of the United States Court of International Trade. The panel will discuss the Supreme Court’s June 2024 decision in Loper Bright Enterprises v. Raimondo, which overturned the long-standing precedent of Chevron v. NRDC – recognized as one of the most important administrative law decisions in decades. The panel will ask how this decision might remake the relationship between the Courts, Executive Branch agencies, and Congress, and how it will impact the Court of International Trade’s practice?
