Forced Labor Tariffs Are Coming: How the New USTR Proposal Could Impact Your Supply Chain

Zoom Webinar

June 10, 2026 from 1:00 pm to 1:30 pm (EDT)

On June 2, USTR announced proposed tariff rates of 10–12.5% on imports from 60 economies under its Section 301 forced labor investigation. Unlike tariff actions targeting specific sectors or bilateral disputes, these proposed duties are country-wide and apply across virtually every product category. That means nearly every company with an international supply chain — regardless of industry — could be affected.

Please join us next Wednesday for a 30-minute briefing where our team will cover:

  • The proposed tariff rates, which economies are covered, and the limited exceptions available;
  • How to participate in the public comment and testimony process, including key deadlines and strategic considerations;
  • How to evaluate where these tariffs hit your supply chain hardest and what steps to take now to mitigate exposure before final rates are imposed; and
  • How to prepare for a world where many countries may enforce forced labor import prohibitions like the U.S. UFLPA and Section 307.

The briefing will be led by Josh Kagan, former head of the USTR Labor Office, who oversaw the U.S. government’s forced labor trade enforcement and negotiation agenda before joining Kelley Drye to lead our globally recognized Forced Labor Trade Enforcement practice.

With public comments due July 6 and hearing requests due June 22, the window to shape the final outcome is narrow. We hope you will join us.
