October 28, 2008
Partner Robert L. Haig was a panelist at a program sponsored by the Conference of Chief Justices and the National Center for State Courts titled “Business Courts – What Works Best?” The audience included chief justices, state court administrators and other judges of states which are considering establishing business courts. Mr. Haig is co-chair of the Commercial Courts Task Force appointed by New York’s chief judge to create and refine the commercial division of the Supreme Court of the State of New York—the nation’s first general trial court devoted exclusively to business litigation. Mr. Haig has also been active in efforts to create business courts in many other states and foreign countries.
