On July 26, 2017, the Diversity Committee of the Women Lawyers Association of Los Angeles (WLALA) hosted the presentation “Breaking Bias: Addressing Bias in the Courtroom, Workplace and Beyond” at Kelley Drye’s LA office. The panelists included Ivette Pena, Court Counsel for the Superior Court of CA, County of LA; the Honorable Akemi Arakaki, LA County Superior Court Judge; Amber Finch, President of Black Women Lawyers of LA; and Merle Vaughn, Partner Recruiter & Law Firm Diversity Practice Leader with Major Lindsey & Africa. Janet Hong, Managing Attorney at The Hong Firm and WLALA Diversity Co-Chair moderated the panel. Kelley Drye was pleased to sponsor this engaging, interactive program.
