Bob LeHane spoke at the Practising Law Institute’s Eighth Annual Commercial Real Estate Institute seminar in New York. The seminar was targeted to experienced real estate practitioners and Bob’s presentation discussed the effect of the 2005 amendments to the Bankruptcy Code on retail bankruptcy cases from the landlord perspective, bankruptcy recovery limitations, borrower-lender bankruptcy issues, lease assignments, security deposits and letters of credit.
Seminar participants received CLE credit and the PLI course book for the Eighth Annual Commercial Real Estate Institute, which includes the article “Gaining Ground: The Landlord Perspective on Retail Bankruptcy Cases in the Wake of the 2005 Bankruptcy Code Amendments” that Bob co-authored with Jim Carr, Partner and Chair of the Bankruptcy Department.
