Association of Corporate Counsel – Central Ohio Chapter CLE Program
January 15, 2009
Partner Robert Haig moderated an Association of Corporate Counsel — Central Ohio Chapter CLE program titled “Advice from the Experts: Successful Partnering Between Inside and Outside Counsel.” The program was held on January 15, 2009, at The Athletic Club of Columbus, Columbus, Ohio.
The program focused on ways inside and outside counsel can effectively work together in connection with the selection of outside counsel, fee arrangements, billing procedures, compliance, ethics and professionalism. The program also covered key issues covered in the critically acclaimed treatise and practice guide titled “Successful Partnering Between Inside and Outside Counsel,” published by West and the Association of Corporate Counsel. This 81 chapter publication covers all phases of the relationships between inside and outside counsel from pre-engagement planning to post-engagement evaluation with respect to litigation, transactions, counseling, legal opinions and other matters. A panel of general counsel from major corporations and leaders of major law firms provided attendees with practical advice and strategies.
