ABA Consumer Protection Conference
February 3, 2011
On February 3, 2011 partner Dana Rosenfeld moderated a session at the American Bar Association’s Consumer Protection Conference in Washington, D.C. In a session titled “A New Decade of Privacy Law Enforcement Policy,” a group of panelists read the tea leaves of the competing privacy and data security legislation and existing laws, the FTC’s Privacy Report, and industry initiatives on preference marketing and safeguarding personal data. They explained how these requirements and best practices coalesce and whether they will be game changers in privacy law.
