Mr. Kirk focuses his practice on the representation of financial institutions, investors and developers in all types of real estate transactions throughout the United States, including construction and permanent financings, acquisitions and sales, joint ventures, and leasing and sale-leaseback transactions, as well as construction and real estate management.
Mr. Kirk also represents these clients in commercial real estate workouts, as well as the enforcement of their rights and remedies in foreclosure, eviction and bankruptcy.
Representative Experience
Represented Forest City Ratner Companies in the joint venture development with The New York Times Company of the Times' new headquarters building in the Times Square area of New York City.Represented Sun Life Assurance Company of Canada in the issuance of $254 million of mortgage-backed securities in a transaction underwritten by Lehman Brothers.
Represented a national leader in public/private community development in the privatization and development of the non-military portions of Fort Campbell, located in Tennessee and Kentucky.
