I offer decades of international legal, business and cultural experience, and serve as a catalyst for European companies seeking to do business in the U.S. by providing comprehensive legal counsel that strikes the balance between European and American law and commerce.

Peter Wolfram co-chairs the firm’s European practice group.  He focuses his practice on business law of the United States, Germany and the European Union, representing business organizations of all kinds, including multinational corporations, mid-sized companies and investors, and nonprofit institutions and individuals.

Peter is dedicated to advising and guiding European companies through the legal complexities of doing business in the United States.  His experience includes a variety of commercial transactions and corporate finance deals.  In addition, he is involved in negotiating and closing mergers and acquisitions, spin-offs, divestitures and corporate restructurings.  Peter has also negotiated and documented joint ventures and licensing, franchising and distribution agreements, and provides counsel on international asset and investment management.  Moreover, Peter advises on foreign and domestic investments, particularly regarding the establishment of a U.S. presence and participation in U.S. and international commercial litigation and arbitration.

Fluent in German, English, French, Spanish and Portuguese, Peter is able to bridge the gap in language, cultural and legal differences when representing European companies doing business in the U.S.  He works diligently with each client to navigate U.S. law and commerce while safeguarding their valuable assets across multiple continents.  European companies seeking to operate in the U.S. often encounter a variety of challenging and unexpected legal and regulatory issues.  Peter is highly adept in working with his clients to anticipate, address and overcome such issues in order to improve his client’s chances of success.
