At the same time, Lauren devotes a portion of her practice to the representation of energy, real estate, transportation and manufacturing clients in commercial and general civil litigation.  She has handled lawsuits involving real estate transactions, commercial contracts, eminent domain, oil and gas matters, and business-related torts.

A Best Lawyers in America “One to Watch,” Lauren stands out in her practice.  Many firm clients turn to Lauren for advice on the ever-changing environmental laws and regulations, as well as the administration’s shifting priorities, and how those changes impact their businesses.  Lauren’s clients also note her effective communication, whether before a judge or agency decision-maker.  Lauren’s passionate advocacy has helped clients achieve the legal results necessary to stay in business and achieve compliance.  Lauren understands the cost implications of responding to agency requests and is adept at working with clients to take the approach that best meets their goals.

Lauren began her litigation career as an Assistant County Attorney at the Office of the Harris County Attorney, representing Harris County in enforcing state environmental regulations.  She brought these matters alongside the Texas Office of the Attorney General, who represents the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality (TCEQ).  Lauren also has experience in private practice where she defended insurance policyholders in tort, premises liability, property damage, and industrial accident disputes.
