Alexander Schneider specializes in information privacy and security, advertising and marketing, and consumer protection law.  He focuses on providing clients with practical legal advice on compliance with federal and state privacy and consumer protection laws, particularly relating to market entry, rollout of new initiatives, ongoing compliance, and corporate transactions.

Prior to joining the firm, Alex spent three years at a boutique firm advising telecommunications industry clients on compliance with privacy and regulatory compliance matters enforced by federal and state authorities, including CPNI, CALEA, and the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA), and worked on federal district court litigation.  During law school, Alex served as a legal intern in the Office of Commissioner Julie Brill at the Federal Trade Commission, as a law clerk to the United States Senate Subcommittee on Privacy, Technology and the Law, as a legal intern at the Center for Democracy and Technology, and as a federal policy project assistant at Consumers Union.

Alex is a Certified Information Privacy Professional/United States (CIPP/US).
