Kelley Drye Pro Bono Litigators Help The Big Apple Circus Survive

The Big Apple Circus (BAC), an award-winning not-for-profit performing arts corporation, has been a New York institution for several decades. BAC’s dedicated outreach programs bring the joy of classical circus to hospitalized children at 16 leading pediatric facilities across the United States, disabled and economically disadvantaged children’s groups, and elderly living and residential communities across the nation. So when the financial survival of the BAC was threatened by a lawsuit seeking to recover substantial consulting fees for a failed fund raising effort, Kelley Drye pro bono attorney James B. Saylor mounted an aggressive defense which culminated in a mediated settlement on terms which will allow BAC to continue its charitable works for the foreseeable future. The Big Apple Circus will be performing its annual holiday show (The Grand Tour) at Lincoln Center through January 10, 2016. The proceeds of all ticket sales will be used to support BAC’s charitable works.
