In the article, “New York law firm outlines Houston expansion plans following merger,” published by both the Houston Business Journal and New York Business Journal, partner and firm chair James S. Carr discusses Kelley Drye’s plan to grow its energy practice and national presence through the merger with Jackson Gilmour & Dobbs PC. Kelley Drye’s expansion in Austin and Houston, Texas were “attractive to us for a couple reasons. The energy practice is an area we’d like to grow in,” said Mr. Carr. He added that in order to support a strong energy practice, the firm needed offices in Texas.
