Partner Alysa Zeltzer Hutnik was quoted in the Risk & Insurance article "Target as Target." The article discusses Target's efforts to manage the reputation damage caused by the recent data breach. Many experts believe Target handled the situation quite well, as they quickly disclosed the breach and offered a free year of credit monitoring to all customers. Ms. Hutnik noted that the four-day gap between discovery of the breach and public disclosure was faster that it has been in other similar cases. She also pointed out that Target's CEO hasn't hid his face like many top executives do after an incident like this, and instead has played a prominent role in managing the situation. "He knows there's work to be done to earn back customer trust, and it looks like he is taking that obligation seriously."
